Covid is almost over, and back on the road in days

Lindsay is over her covid, and I coming towards the end of my covid. We are both preparing to re-start our big lap adventure within a week or so. This is the second time that covid stopped us in our tracks, and previously in July 2021, we were forced to race back to Victoria from Queensland in 24 hours in order not to be locked out from our home in Victoria for the duration of the lockdown.

At the time we sat in Hungerford with a population of 15, on the border of QLD and NSW at the Royal Mill Hotel for the night. This Hotel sits along the Rabbit-Proof fence.

On the 8th of June 2021 at 5:00 am we opened the gate of the Rabbit-Proof fence on the border and drove for 12 hours without a stop (except for fuel)

‘Hungerford’ is a short story by Henry Lawson. This story by was published in ‘While the Billy Boiled’ (1896)

This post is to awaken interest in following our up-coming travel on the Big Lap

This picture was taken at the ‘Royal Mill Hotel’ where we came to spend the night before the great crossing.
