Things that we see when we are out of the ‘Big Smoke’

Last night we stayed in Kimba in South Australia and today in Ceduna the Gate to the Nullabor. There is something that any traveller experiences when passing through country towns. You come across big installations of whatever is iconic to the town.

In Renmark in the Riverland it was The Big Orange, in Kingston it was The Big Lobster, and Kimba was The Big Galah. Also what really interested us most was the silo arts of which there are many in country towns.

Here are few photos and also introducing Lindsay, Django (our dog) and our caravan on our way to the Big Red Bash and beyond. The roads are long and longer with a never ending horizon and skyscape.

We hope to see some of you at the Big Red bash. (you can send us a note via this blog).
